The Run Forest Run will celebrate it's 20th anniversary in 2026 and will also look back ob two decades worth of memories on the trails of the Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve with the final official running of the race. The Run Forest Run, celebrating its 19th annual running this year, was conceived to eschew all the formalities of a traditional road race. Enjoy the beauty of nature and the thrill of nature in a bucolic setting far from the din of dj music and the constant city noise. The Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve provides a cool and quick course for our small and inspired field. We hope to see you on the starting line again this year! |
RUN FOREST RUN
The Run Forest Run is Illinois' premier trail race, hosted by the Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve. This unique invitational event began formally in 2007, and takes place annually a few weeks after the Chicago Marathon. The four-mile course features manicured trails and beautiful views as runners navigate the trees, lakes, rivers and wildlife of the preserve. |
